Unlike standard courier services, a 2-man team can safely handle items such as sofas, beds, washing machines, gym equipment, and other heavy goods that one person could not manage alone. The service typically includes carrying items into your property and placing them in your room of choice.
Items that are too heavy, large, or awkward for one person to handle safely require a 2-man delivery. This includes sofas and armchairs, bed frames and mattresses, dining tables and chairs, wardrobes and large cabinets, washing machines and fridge-freezers, treadmills and gym equipment, garden furniture, hot tubs, pianos, and large televisions. As a general rule, any item over 30kg or that requires two people to lift safely should be delivered by a 2-man team.
Standard 2-man delivery brings your item to your chosen room and places it in position. White glove delivery is a premium service that goes further — it includes careful handling with protective blankets and shoe covers, full unpacking and inspection of the item, precise positioning to your specification, complete assembly if required, and removal of all packaging materials. White glove is ideal for high-value or fragile items where extra care and a full setup service are important.
Room of choice delivery means the delivery team will carry your item into the specific room in your home where you want it placed, including upstairs. This is the standard service level for most 2-man deliveries and is a significant step up from kerbside or threshold delivery, where items are left at your front door. The team will navigate stairs, hallways, and doorways to place the item exactly where you need it.
Yes, furniture assembly is available as part of our white glove and premium delivery services. Our trained teams can assemble bed frames, dining tables, flat-pack furniture, wardrobes, and other items that require construction. Basic "lite assembly" (such as attaching sofa feet or plumping cushions) is often included as standard, while full assembly of complex items is available as an add-on service.
Absolutely. Our 2-man delivery teams are fully trained in manual handling techniques and can carry items upstairs to any floor. For flats without lift access, we routinely deliver to upper floors via staircases. We recommend measuring your staircase, doorways, and hallways in advance to ensure your item will fit through all access points. For particularly challenging access situations, we can advise on solutions including door removal or specialist equipment.
Yes, we offer old item removal as an add-on service. When delivering new furniture or appliances, our team can take away the item being replaced — whether that is an old sofa, mattress, washing machine, or fridge-freezer. Old appliances are disposed of in compliance with WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) regulations, and furniture is recycled wherever possible.
Packaging removal is included in our white glove and premium delivery services. Our team will unpack your item, inspect it for any damage, set it up in your chosen room, and take away all packaging materials including cardboard, polystyrene, and plastic wrapping. We recycle the vast majority of packaging materials responsibly.
We provide 2-man delivery services across the entire UK mainland, covering 98% of UK postcodes. This includes all major cities — London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol, Liverpool, Sheffield, Cardiff, Nottingham, and Newcastle — as well as rural areas. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, Islands, Northern Ireland, and the Channel Islands are available and may carry a small surcharge.
Yes, we offer appliance connection and installation services. This includes "wet connect" services for plumbed appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers (connecting water supply and waste pipes), "dry installation" for freestanding electric appliances such as cookers and tumble dryers, and disconnection of old appliances being replaced. All connections are carried out by trained operatives following manufacturer guidelines.
